Candle Safety Guide

How to burn your candle
  • When you first burn your scented candle, burn it until the wax pool reaches the edge of the glass. Soy wax has a memory, therefore if you extinguish the candle too soon this will create tunneling for future burns.
  • Position candle on a secure, level, heat resistant surface away from drafts, flammable materials, children and animals.
  • Always trim wicks to 6mm before lighting to reduce black carbon residue.
  • Triple wicked and double wicked candles require all wicks to be burning at the same time and trimmed at the same length.
  • Never leave a burning candle unattended.
  • Burn for periods for no more than 2 hours.
  • Do not use lid to extinguish the candle. To extinguish the candle flame, use a candle snuffer or blow gently on the flame.
  • Never burn a candle completely to the end. Discard when there's 10mm of wax in the bottom.
